Never hold your peace.

Luke 19:40

And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Dearly Beloved,

Greetings in Jesus’ Name. I want to thank you for all your prayers for us while we were away. Thank you also for praying for our country. It is because of you (people who know how to pray) that we experienced such peace, your fervent prayers availed much. I also appreciate the testimonies in the bulletins, they were wonderful. To all of you who participated in all, or some of the above, thank you.

Today we want to introduce a new series, in the subject of praise and worship. Our title is “never hold your peace”. In the book of Luke we read a very interesting statement from our Lord that we cannot under estimate or overlook.

Luke 19:40

And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

The disciples had sat Jesus on a colt and started declaring some things that disturbed the religious minds of the time. The disciples were only repeating what had been declared by angels in

Luke 2:14.Jesus, answering the Pharisees said, “…..if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out…”

In other words, no one can stop the praises of our God. Praise and worship has been misunderstood to be: fast music, praise, and slow music, worship. The truth is, “praise” has nothing to do with the speed. Taken at its face value, it is the straight forward utterances of the goodness of God, while worship is the reverential intimacy derived from a deep heartfelt relationship with the object of worship. Praise and worship should be the lifestyle of every believer. Being thankful, giving glory, adoration, being in awe of the almighty of God. Jesus implied in the above scripture, if we don’t enter into this attitude, the stones will. I will not let stones praise and worship my creator in my stead. What’s these stones all about? Well, find out in your SPREADING THE LIGHT BULLETIN next week. Meanwhile stay in His presence. And REMEMBER,

STAY CONNECTED.

IT’S IMPORTANT TO BELONG SOMEWHERE. WORSHIP TEAM, GREETERS, USHERS, Hospitality, HOUSE OF JOY (CELL GROUP) ETC.

IF YOU DO NOT BELONG, MAKE SURE YOU DO. YOU ARE SPECIAL AND LOVED.
