ABIDE IN HIS LOVE

Dearest brothers and sisters,

John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.  35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”   NKJV

People know we are real Christians because of the way we treat each other in love.  This is why the devil works so hard to undermine love and to bring strife and division.  In our church, and I hope in your family too, we have zero tolerance for strife.  Strife is the manifest presence of the devil.  The feeling and environment of strife is demonic and of darkness. I refuse to let it happen in my house and I hope in yours too.

John 15:9-13  “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.  10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.    11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.  12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.  13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. NKJV

Jesus here told us to abide in His love.  To abide is to live.  You live out of your spirit, not just in your physical house.  Your livelihood is from inside you and so you should allow only love to be what you operate by.  When you do that, that’s where the joy is.  Real joy is found when you live and flow in love.  Look at these Scriptures:

John 15:11-12  “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.  12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. NKJV

John 16:24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.   NKJV

1 John 1:4 4 And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.  NKJV

Do you see how much joy is tied up to love?  John the apostle of love kept saying that He wrote the things he wrote so our joy would be full.  In other words, to live in joy, we must walk in love.  Since faith works by love (Gal. 5:6) it is hard for you to receive from God while walking outside of the love of God.  Your confidence will be affected negatively and so you won’t receive answers to your prayers.  When that happens, your joy would not be full.  God wants your joy to be full so He commanded us to walk in love.

Do you want to have joy in your life?  Walk in love.  Do you want your life to be pleasing to the Lord by obeying His one Commandment?  Walk in love.  Do you want to fulfill all the commandments? Walk in love.  Do you want to have peace in your home?  Walk in love.  Do you want your faith to work?  Walk in love. Do you want the gifts of the Spirit that flow through you to not be mere a mere noisy gong?  Walk in love.  Do you want to make a difference in people’s lives?  Flow in love.

Most importantly, do you want to have an amazing fellowship with the Father and His Son Jesus, walk in love.  Abide or live permanently in love and you never need to move out.  It’s the joy-filled place to live.
