BELIEVE – HAVING NOT SEEN

BELIEVE – HAVING NOT SEEN

John 20:29 (KJV)

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

John 20:29 (Amp).

Jesus said to him, Because you have seen Me, Thomas, do you now believe (trust, have faith)? Blessed and happy and to be envied are those who have never seen Me and yet have believed and adhered to and trusted and relied on Me.

Dear Saints,

Greetings to you all. I trust that The God of all grace has sustained, and preserved you for all His goodness and service. We started a series on BELIEVE. We saw that most religious believes are based on some religion or doctrine, while Christian believe is on a person. Some actually believe that their religion is the only way to heaven, this is a lie from the pit of hell. Even Christianity is not the way to heaven, ONLY Jesus is the way to heaven. Someone may ask, are there not many ways to go to God or heaven? No. There is only one WAY, JESUS. In order for that WAY to work for you, you must believe. This is the KEY word that the entire Bible doctrine is based on. From our theme scripture above we see Thomas, a follower of Jesus and among Jesus’ core group being reprimanded for not believing. He had been with The master, he heard His teachings, he even heard Him talk about how He would be killed, and how that He would rise again, but he did not believe it. When the disciples declared to Thomas that The Lord has risen, Thomas said, (v. 25)…….”Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.” Lack of belief is actually evil.

Hebrews 3:12

Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

You see, unbelief comes from an evil heart. Jesus seemed unhappy about Thomas’ decision that he will NOT believe. Obviously Jesus had heard what Thomas said. He (Jesus) came back seven days later and after saluting the disciples, He immediately turned to Thomas to prove to him that truly, He had risen. Thomas, now convinced because he had seen the Lord, declared (v 28)”… And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.” At this point, He made the most powerful statement that covers the entire truth of the spirit world. He said, “……..Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” Family, do you understand that? Do you understand that, hidden in “BLESSED ARE THEY” are ALL things you ever needed, you need, or will ever need. EVERYTHING IS IN “BLESSING”. Oh child of God, there is so much more in these words of Jesus that will turn your life around. No, you are not blessed because you have this, that, or the other, your blessing is not based on things….it’s based on……. Watch out for your next SPREADING THE LIGHT BULLETIN next week on how to tap into those blessings. PEACE. We love you.
