Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Dear Saints,
We posed a question last week, did God make (mould, as a potter his pottery) you for no purpose at all? Did He have a use for you in mind? No one creates, makes, or manufactures a product without its use and purpose in mind. Indeed, we humans
Coined this phrase for a reason “need is the mother of inventions.” Am sure you have heard this statement before. This is true because for every problem, there is a solution. Our challenge is to discover the solution of each problem. Was God therefore trying to solve a problem? What was His problem anyway?
God’s problem is only implied and not quite explicit in Genesis.
Genesis 1:26
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
There you have it. Let us look at the four major areas of God’s
Implied concerns:
- Make man
- Image
- likeness
- Have Dominion
I will not go into a whole discourse on “what is man?” Because the word “man” had never been used before. We know however how he looked like and the image he carries. We also know God’s intentions for the “man” He created to have dominion.
