Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Dear Saints,
As we have seen earlier in the previous bulletins, the initial plan of God regarding man, was to represent Him (God) on earth. When Adam sold out to God’s enemy satan, God’s plan fell through; we lost purpose. God had to start over again. Satan had replaced man illegally because he did it through deception…. Adam handed over everything he had, or he was to satan. Satan offered what he got from Adam to Jesus, if He (Jesus) worshipped him.
Matthew 4:9
And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
Satan took Adam’s position and therefore became “the god of this world”.
2 Corinthians 4:4
…..In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Interestingly, “the god of this world” gave a different purpose to man who had become subordinate to him. For a purpose, satan gave man a very high standard of selfishness interwoven with God’s plans, such that it was difficult to differentiate God’s actual plans, and the substitute the devil gave. For example; God had given land to Adam to “till” or “work on”.
Genesis 2:5
And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.
