Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
In His ministry on earth, the Lord Jesus was “the will of God in action.” The Father anointed Him to do what He wanted done, and that was “doing good.”
God wants people to see His goodness demonstrated through you. He wants you healthy, prosperous, peaceful and joyful. He wants you to have abundance so you can do good with it.
Hebrews 13:21 CJV. May God equip you with every good thing you need to do His will. Another translation of Heb. 13:21 says: “May God fit you with all goodness to do His will doing in you that which is well pleasing in His sight.”
It’s a good thing to often confess: “God is fitting me with complete goodness, I’m being outfitted with every good thing to do all manner of good works.“
2 Tim. 2:20-21 ESV
Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work
As a vessel of honor, instead of you being the person in need, you’ll be the one doing all kinds of good things for others. God gives us buildings, equipment, vehicles, money as tools so we can use them to do all kinds of good work for His kingdom. God wants to pour more goodness in your life so you can do more good.
1 Timothy 6:18 KJV Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; that they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate
If you believe Jesus became poor so you can be rich, then this Scripture is talking about you. God gives you all things to enjoy so you can do good and distribute willingly. Notice it doesn’t say: “get rid” of the rich. It just tells you and me not to be high-minded but to stay with a readiness to give to every good work.
Someone say: I am the rich. My God makes me increase in every good thing, by His grace, so I can go about doing good just like my Lord Jesus. Amen.
