FAMILY
THE NATURAL BOND
Ephesians 3:14-15 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Dear Saints,
Greetings to you all. Am amazed by the natural bond of the family. Think about it, no one has to lecture you on family and its values, no one has to shovel love for one another down your throat, it seems to come naturally. No one in their right mind would wish bad things to their family members. Family, my friend, is God’s plan. We are named after one man…..we carry His last name, He brags on us, we are His family.
What’s in a family? You may ask.
It’s the only place you can find TRUE love.
TRUE care and concern.
It’s a place of refuge.
When all others fail and reject you, family is your oasis.
It’s the place of TRUE protection.
No family is perfect. This is because it’s made up of imperfect people.
Talking of protection, look at the story of Amnon, Tamar and Absolom in 2 Samuel 13. Absolom and Tamar were from the same mother; they were immediate family. Absolom avenges his sister for what Amnon did. Absolom would have done anything to protect his sister from any harm. This is not the type of a family God intended. Lairs, Fornicators, murderers, people who plan evil to hurt others, paying evil for good, destroying people’s lives for their own pleasure or wellbeing ……We should always protect and not violate each other in our church and families. The word and the Holy Spirit helps us to bond naturally as the family of God.
