God Directs our footsteps

Psalms 37:23
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
Dear Saints,
Hope you are all going good. Have you ever noticed that God May tell you to do something, or promise to do something for you, but kinda takes a long time to do it. Well, thats the way He does things. Just because He has sent you somewhere doesn’t mean its today, tomorrow, or now. You have to wait for His leading. He leads one step at a time. Notice in our theme scripture above, “the steps of a good man, or woman….”That is to say, it’s not everyman’s steps that are led, it is the steps of a good man.
Elijah’s destiny was to stand on mount Carmel, call down fire from heaven, and deliver Israel from idolatry. But he could only get there one step at a time. First God sent him to a brook at Cherith (which means covenant). God is a covenant making covenant keeping God. He dried up the Jordan river, made an axe head to float, and caused fish to swim to an empty net. When He makes a promise, He keeps it.
When God sent Elijah to Cherith, He told him, “I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there”. Had Elijah gone else where, God wouldn’t have met his needs. Why? Because a covenant is two sided; when you do your part, God does His part. Next God sent him to Zarephath, saying, “I have commanded a widow woman to sustain thee”.
