Dearest Brethren,
Let’s begin in Genesis today: Gen 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…” NKJV
God already had angels, He had already created the animals and other things but this is the first time that He made something to be LIKE HIM. Some of you have animals in your home, from pets like cats or dogs to chicken and goats; but you can’t have true fellowship with them. They have emotions but they can’t talk back when you talk to them. The same thing with God; He had all those created things but none of them were on His level. This is the first time He created someone that was on his level.
Gen. 1:27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. NKJV
Gen. 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. NKJV
When Jewish Rabbis read Genesis chapter 2, even to this day, this is the way they interpret it in Hebrew: “When God created man and He breathed into Him the breath of life, the angels looked and they saw God and they saw the man and they couldn’t tell which one was which; because man looked exactly like God.
This is because God made man exactly like Himself, at His level to act like God and live like God on the earth and yet be totally dependent on Him. God made us on His level, not to take His place, not only do His will on the earth but also from the standpoint of fellowship.
God made man for fellowship with Himself as we read in Gen. 3 how He’d come down in the cool of the day to fellowship with man and spend time with him. So man would get spiritual downloads from God every day as they saw God and spent time with Him. They had revelations from God every day up until they sinned and fell from glory.
But even after they died spiritually, they continued hearing from God. God would talk and they’d respond. Even in Gen. 4, Cain, the second-generation-sinner could still hear from God. Even after he killed Abel, as a sinner and now a murderer, Cain could still hear from God. This is how much God had created man to fellowship with Him. It took long for man to lose that. God made us to hear and see from Him.
Jesus the second Adam came to reverse the effect of Adam’s sin. 2 Cor. 5:21 tells us Jesus was made to be sin for us that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Jesus the firstborn from the dead (Col. 1:18-22) reconciled us to God and restored us back to fellowship with the Father; God’s original intent.
Then Jesus in His earthly ministry is our model and example of fellowship with the Father. When He called God Father, it meant that there was a Father/Son fellowship going on with HIm.
John 5:19-21 says: “Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.” NKJV
Does the Father love you? Are you His son? Then you are in a position to hear and see things from God exactly like Jesus. He’ll show you how to win your neighbors to Jesus and
more! He loves you and He wants to give you great revelations every day. Listen t
