Is heaven a real place?
Part 1
Dear family and friends,
In this bulletin we begin a new series on this very important subject “heaven and hell”.
Are these real places? What does the scripture say about it? We will address each place separately. Let us talk about heaven to start with. Heaven is literal, and a created place. God says clearly “heaven is His throne,” and the earth His footstool. Isaiah 66:1. It is also the place where Jesus went to after His resurrection
Mark 16:19
“So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.”
Stephen also “SAW” heaven In Acts 7:55-56 says, “But he [Stephen], full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. And he said, ‘Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”
If heaven was not a real place, then there could be no throne, Jesus could not have “gone” cause you cannot go to a place that does not exist, stand in a vacuum, and Stephen could not have seen Jesus standing at the right hand of God. Heaven is a real place, which was created by God Himself.
Genesis 1:1 says,
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
You can see heaven (His throne), and the earth (His footstool) are created places.
We know that the earth is a place by itself and for this reason it cannot be the same place as heaven. Therefore, heaven is a different place altogether. This is the place where Jesus is preparing a place where He will take His “Bride”.
In John 14:2-3, Jesus said, “In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”
Heaven is a real place created by God. Isaiah. 42:5; 45:18. Colossians 1:16-18. Neh. 9:6
Ps.102:25. Prov. 8:27. What about hell? Is it real also? CHECK OUT IN THE NEXT SPREADING THE LIGHT BULLETIN……It will change your life. DO NOT MISS IT.
