HIS GOODNESS IN YOU

HIS GOODNESS IN YOU

Dear brethren,

Psalm 34:12-14

What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it

The Lord through the Psalmist was showing us how to see more good happen in our lives. Don’t speak evil.  Do you want to enjoy life and live many “good ” days?  Then watch your mouth. Get bad things out of your mouth.  God gave us mouths, not just for communicating but for changing things from evil to good.  Our words are creative just like our God’s words.

Peter echoed the same words in

1 Peter 3:10-11.  For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it

The first person you should talk good about is yourself.

Romans 15:25

And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

You ought to be persuaded that you are full of goodness.  This is based on Christ in us.

 Philemon 1:6 KJV)

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus

The enemy does everything he can to show you the bad in you.  How broke you are, how your family doesn’t care, how weak you are etc.  You want to acknowledge EVERY good thing that’s in you in Christ.  You have a lot in HIm, you are a lot in HIm and you can do a whole lot in Him.

If you talk the ideas of the enemy, you will sound grouchy.  You will not be fun to be around.  You will not be a blessing to be around.  If you talk the good things you are in Christ, woo, rivers of living water begin to flow from the inside of you to refresh others.

You’ll be like brother Philemon

7 For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the hearts of the

saints have been refreshed by you, brother. Philemon verse 7 NKJV

What was refreshing them?  It was the goodness of the Lord coming out of him.  So can you.  There’s so much good in you that when you speak, the hearts of the saints are refreshed.  Your family is refreshed.  Your neighbors are refreshed.  That’s how Jesus was.  Everywhere He went, people were blessed and refreshed.  As He is, so are we in this world.
