PRAISE AND WORSHIP
The Art of Praise.
Luke 19:40
And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
Dear Saints,
Greetings in Jesus’ Name. We are still talking about praise and worship. You may pick up the previous bulletins to update yourself with this important subject. We will be using these two words “praise and worship interchangeably. Each one of these words has a distinct meaning and needs to be addressed separately. Today we want to talk about the art of praise. There is nothing that brings God’s manifestation of His power closer than praise. It is the highest form of worship. The word praise means:, to express a warm approval or admiration of….
Praise accounts for deeds credited to the object of praise. In Exodus 15:1-19 shows what praise is all bout. It’s about directing a high level of appreciation to someone based on his or her good deeds. A good example is in the above scripture where Moses is praising God for what He had done for Israel. Please note that in all his appreciation, Moses never addressed or talked about himself, but he put in a high pedestal the God of his salvation. This we should do as well, direct our praises to Him alone.
There are many ways to praise the Lord. Let’s us look at
Psalms 150:2-6
Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbre and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
