SPIRIT FILLED part 10

John 14:26   (Amp)But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

Dear Saints,

Greetings in Jesus’ Name. Have you ever thought of what it really entails to be “created” in His image, after His “likeness?”It brings me to the idea of being “filled with the Spirit.” Last week in our bulletin we saw that the Spirit has fruit. We also noted that since God is a Spirit, then being “filled with the spirit” is really being filled with God. In the Ephesians prayer, Paul prayed that the believers at Ephesus be filled with all the fulness of God……Ephesians 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Come on, think about it….”be filled with all the fulness of God.?” In this regard, bearing the fruit of the spirit is not an impossible task. Can an orange tree feel awkward or un-usual to produce oranges? We are well equipped to produce the fruit of the Spirit; we are the fruit tree to produce, love, joy, peace, long-suffering and the likes…..all of them.

Spirit-Filled Living is about walking in the above “fruits.” These are the qualities that determine if one is walking in the Spirit or in the flesh. “Fleshly” actions are in direct opposition to “Spirit” actions. It is easy to judge fleshly behavior because it is often obvious to both, the doer and the observer. That’s why you hear remarks like, “you are judging me or…..don’t judge me.” Well no, am not judging you, your actions and speech judge you. When one walks in the Spirit, they do not fulfill the works of the flesh.

Be filled with The Spirit…..(God is a Spirit). What the word is telling us is, “be filled with God.” Is this possible? Absolutely, otherwise He would not tell us to be filled.
