SPIRIT FILLED part 7
John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Dear Saints,
Greetings in the wonderful Name of Jesus. We are discovering some very powerful truths from the word of God concerning, living a “Spirit-Filled life.”
Ephesians 5:18b says, “……but be filled with the Spirit;” In essence, since God is a Spirit, then we are told, “be filled with God.” Think about it…..isn’t it awesome.
Last week we saw in the book of Romans that we do not walk after the flesh but after the Spirit.
Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
It is to those who are in Christ, and walk in the Spirit that there is “now no condemnation”. But as for those who walk after the flesh (carnality; walking in fleshly desires, looking at things from the natural stand point, “calling a spade a spade, calling things as they are),” the implication is, there is condemnation. What should we do about this? Be filled with the Spirit, be sensitive to the Holy Spirit of God in you. From our theme scripture, John 14:26, The Amplified Bible defines it very well:
John 14:26
But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.
Do you see whom the Holy Spirit is, and what He can do for you? He is all over you…..Be filled with Him…living a Spirit-Filled life sets you apart in every aspect of your life.He will guide and direct your thoughts and actions in all you do.
