TALKING FAITH
Dearest brothers and sisters,
Mark 11:22-23 says: “So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” NKJV
Those words of Jesus in verse 22 “have faith in God” actually mean have the God-kind of faith or have the faith of God. Someone who has the God kind of faith can move mountains with his/her words. They can move diseases away. They can move any undesirable circumstance. Did you know the Bible says that your mouth can deliver you? Some people go from place to place looking for deliverance. Brethren, your own tongue can deliver you!
Proverbs 12:6 The words of the wicked are, “Lie in wait for blood,” But the mouth of the upright will deliver them. NKJV
How does that happen? The spirit of faith believes and SPEAKS. What does God say about your deliverance?
Col 1:13-14 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.NKJV
Keep saying what He has said. That’s how you respond to the Word. Agree with His Word that you are already…delivered. The provision has already been made. Speak the end result.
God is very, very serious about this speaking thing. I don’t know about you, but the Spirit of God in me constantly reminds me to SPEAK THE WORD! just about every day. He wants us to have the spirit (attitude) of faith that believes and speaks.
2 Cor. 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak. KJV
Remember that a true faith confession comes out of a persuaded believing heart; not a wavering heart. To make a faith decree, we must be like Abraham…fully persuaded. Talking of Abraham,
Romans 4:19-21 says: “And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” KJV
Abraham as well as all the heroes of faith recorded in Hebrews 11 kept declaring some things…speaking them boldly. When Abraham was asked to offer up his son Isaac as a sacrifice, he told people that he and Isaac would go up the mountain and that they would be back. (Genesis 22:5) Hebrews tells us that he believed God was able to raise his son even from the dead. (Heb. 11:17-19) Abraham spoke big time faith. He told his son Isaac that God would provide Himself a Lamb for the burnt offering even as he journeyed to go sacrifice him on an altar in obedience to God’s direction. (Genesis 22:8) Do you think Abraham guarded his words carefully? He certainly did. He spoke the end result and it happened exactly. Faith is bold to declare what is going to happen…based on God’s word.
What about you? What are you declaring about your business? What are you declaring about your ministry? What are you declaring concerning your children? What are you saying about your destiny?
Job 22:28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. KJV
Brethren, you can open your mouth and boldly consistently say what’s going to happen to you and it will.
