THE NEW BIRTH
John 3:5-7
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Dear Saints,
We want to continue with our series on the new birth and what it really means. Like Nicodemus, most people do not understand what being born again is all about. Some think its a religion,
Others think its a church, and still others have no clue. Its in all humans to seek some kind of a god, a supernatural being out there who is all powerful and to some, he is responsible for all calamities and catastrophes, all killings, and basically the conspirator of all evil. Because of this, they look for ways and means of appeasing him so they can earn his favour.
We have a simple doctrine in our church that simply holds:
God is good, the devil is bad. This sounds simple but most people do not know it and those who do, do not believe it. So they may say He is good, then turn around and accuse of something terrible.
Being born again is to intentionally receive Jesus in ones heart, Be, and stay convinced that there is a change as can be found in:
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
By itemizing this scripture, we can notice, who qualifies, where, what happens…. are these issues important to you? They should be. They are a matter of life and death. That’s being born again. You may not be, and do not have to be perfect, but at least you are born again.
