THE FAMINE IS OVER

THE FAMINE IS OVER

I have good news for you.
The famine is over for ever.
Heaven says: Your isolation is over.
You need not fear coming out.
You’re coming out to your plunder and abundance.
You’re coming out to pursue your dreams
Radically come out of isolation without fear
Come out to do what God has called you to do.

In 2 Kings 6:24-32 Please read Scripture in your own Bible.

These people were in total lockdown, total isolation by the Syrians, no one went out, no one came in.
Things went from bad to worse until they were eating donkey heads, dove’s dung and murdering their own babies for dinner; all caused by the lockdown.
In the midst of this, the king blamed God for it and in retaliation threatened His prophet Elisha with execution by beheading.
God forewarned Elisha of their conspiracy and gave him His Word for the nation.

2 Kings 7:1 Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the LORD. Thus says the LORD: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.'” NKJV

2 Kings 7:1-2 Elisha replied, “The Lord says that by this time tomorrow two gallons of flour or four gallons of barley grain will be sold in the markets of Samaria for a dollar!” (about 100/-.) 2 The officer assisting the king said, “That couldn’t happen if the Lord made windows in the sky!” But Elisha replied, “You will see it happen, but you won’t be able to buy any of it!” TLB

This Word from the Lord was confronted with doubtful challenges from government authorities.
A warning from the Lord came forth: you will see it happen but you won’t live to be part of it.
In other words, this Word of the Lord was certain and no man could stand before it to hinder it.
Then this happened:
2 Kings 7:3-11 (Please read this in your Bible.)

AS SOON AS THE WORD OF THE LORD WAS SPOKEN BY ELISHA, GOD’S ANGELS WENT TO WORK CAUSING THE SYRIAN ARMY TO HEAR THE SOUND OF ATTACKS OF HORSES AND CHARIOTS. SO THEY FLED.
BUT NO ONE WOULD HAVE KNOWN ABOUT IT HAD THESE FOUR LEPERS NOT TAKEN A STEP TO GET OUT.

2 Kings 7:3-4 Now there were four men with leprosy sitting at the entrance of the city gates. “Why should we sit here waiting to die?” they asked each other. 4 “We will starve if we stay here, and we will starve if we go back into the city. So we might as well go out and surrender to the Aramean army. If they let us live, so much the better. But if they kill us, we would have died anyway.” NLT

LEPERS
Now, who are lepers?
A leper is a person with leprosy. A chronic (curable when treated early) infectious disease (during its
incubation period) causing nerve damage and skin lesions.
In Bible days, leprosy was an incurable death sentence. They also believed leprosy was punishment for sin and was a divine curse.
Lepers were isolated people who were avoided and rejected by others.
They had known the depths of isolation and being quarantined for life. They had experienced the hurts of stigmatization. Lepers had to shout “unclean” when they went out to the public.

In Nigeria: my leper’s colony experience: They lived in an isolated village…they were sad looking people. The disease was not the major cause of their sadness but the stigma, the life of isolation, the death sentence. That wasn’t God’s will for them. God wanted them saved, healed, made whole and returned to mix with other people in society as witnesses of Jesus Christ.

Yet during the famine in Samaria, God chose to use lepers to bring forth the miracle of this provision that He had spoken of through the prophet Elisha.
People who had known the depths of a lifetime of isolation.

What was God saying?
1. No one can stand before my Word to stop it.
2. The source and extent of your famine doesn’t matter. I am the God who is more than enough!
3. It doesn’t matter how world-wide the cause of your problems, it doesn’t matter how universal your issues.
4. It doesn’t matter how your own government has dealt with it.
5. It doesn’t matter how traditional religion feels about it.

Brethren, it doesn’t matter how many variables are standing in your way.
 It doesn’t matter the depths of your challenges at this time.
 It doesn’t matter the depths of your hunger and lack.
 It doesn’t matter if hell itself is moved against you.
 It doesn’t matter the depths of which corrupt institutions have caused it.
 It doesn’t matter your own government’s response to it.
 It doesn’t matter what people think about you and how they’ve stigmatized you.

God says: WHAT MATTERS IS MY WORD TO YOU!
If you can only take a step of faith in the direction of my Word, you will see the deluge of my provision.
If in the midst of this you can have faith as small as a mustard seed, in your God, you will be amazed at the results of your faith in His Word.

God’s Word is:
My people will never pray or believe Me in vain. You may have witnessed the move of the depths of Satan. You will witness the move of the heights of heaven and the depths of my grace.

The collision of two forces is on. The gates of hell cannot prevail.
The good news is that the battle was won 2,000 years ago.

2 Cor. 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. NKJV

Our Lord won the battle over poverty, lack, famine etc. and handed us the victory.
He left us here to enjoy and enforce that victory.
Brethren, simple steps of obedience to His Word can bring forth tremendous results.

Gen 26:1-6 There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar. 2 Then the LORD appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. 3 Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. 4 And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in
your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; 5 because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.” 6 So Isaac dwelt in Gerar. NKJV

So this was another famine.
And in the midst of famine, God spoke.
Brethren, you can never go wrong listening to His direction in the midst of your challenges.
Nothing beats obeying His Word. Nothing.

Gen 26:12-16 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. 13 The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; 14 for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him. 15 Now the Philistines had stopped up all the wells which his father’s servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father, and they had filled them with earth. 16 And Abimelech said to Isaac, “Go away from us, for you are much mightier than we.” NKJV

Then Isaac sowed in that land. In the midst of famine, he sowed.
His stay was based on the covenant that God had made with his father Abraham.
And he reaped in the same year of famine.
Why?
The Lord blessed Him.
Out of that blessing came progress of prosperity.
So much prosperity, he had employees, flocks and herds of animals.

All because He followed the direction of the Lord that was based on His covenant based, Word. During this time, receive the Lord’s direction. Man’s efforts will not suffice. God’s direction is all that matters. In times like these, undergird your finances by continuing to be faithful in your tithes and offerings.
Amen.
We want to give you an opportunity to give, to sow your seed towards your own increase.
(Yes the church has its budget to be met each month. It will always be met. Every need of
this Church is met because the church gives out.)
However, like Paul said in

Phil. 4:17, we seek and desire fruit that “abounds to your account.

When you give, you accumulate riches in your heavenly account. As a result:

19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Brethren, give as you purpose in your own heart and give in faith:
YOU CAN CHOOSE TO GIVE THROUGH THIS M-PESA TILL NO. 579956 OR YOU CAN CHOOSE TO TAKE YOUR TITHES AND OFFERINGS TO THE CHURCH, THERE’S AN OFFERING BOX TO DEPOSIT IN AS YOU WISH.

DECLARE:
Today, I give in faith as I grow my heavenly account
Therefore, as for me and my house,
The famine is over forever
My God made provision for me over 2,000 years ago
When Jesus became poor on the cross
That I through His poverty may be fully supplied
So He supplies to me according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus
When it comes to me and my family, we’re faithful to follow God’s direction
To honor Him with His tithe and to sow seed towards our future in the offerings
We have a full supply
We’re pursuing our dreams as the Lord directs us.
We’ll never lack.
Thank You Father for your provision.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.
