THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE BOOK OF PROVERBS
Dearest Brethren,
In the same way that the Holy Spirit inspired the Psalmists to write worshipful masterpieces about the glory of God in the book of Psalms, so too the Holy Spirit inspired Solomon the son of David to write the Proverbs with divine wisdom.
The Proverbs are full of the Spirit of wisdom. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of wisdom. (See Isaiah 11:2, Joshua 34:9) The anointing of wisdom is found in this book. If you read it in faith, you will find yourself growing in wisdom. You will develop a love for the wisdom of God. You will fall in love with the wisdom of God.
Wisdom is my friend. I celebrate wisdom. I have fellowship with wisdom. Happy is the man that finds wisdom. (Prov. 3:13) Did you know the Bible says that Jesus Christ is made unto us wisdom? (1 Cor. 1:30) Everything Jesus was made unto us; we were meant to become that very thing. Why do you think Prov. 4:7-9 tells us that Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. 8 Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her. 9 She will place on your head an ornament of grace; A crown of glory she will deliver to you.” NKJV
Why? Jesus the Anointed and His Anointing is our wisdom. The Anointing of God has become my wisdom. Therefore I do not lack for wisdom. This should be your response to the book of Proverbs. “I think the right thoughts. I speak the right words. I go to the right places. I choose the right thing the first time.” How conscious are you of this reality?
Col 2:9 says: “in Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily”… So Almighty God Himself has included Himself in the name of Jesus. This is why Col 2:3 says: “in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” All the treasures of wisdom (leaving none) are found in Christ…in His Anointing. All the wisdom of Proverbs is hidden in Christ. He’s the embodiment of all knowledge. And He’s in you. When you look to Him, (in the book and to the Holy Spirit in you) you’ll know what to do in every situation.
When God gave Solomon wisdom, the Spirit of Wisdom made him so wise, people came from distance lands to hear his wisdom. He also made Him rich, very rich. This is why the Proverbs says:
Prov. 3:13-18 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding; 14 For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, And her gain than fine gold. 15 She is more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. 16 Length of days is in her right hand, In her left hand riches and honor. 17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace. 18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her. NKJV
Wisdom will bring you peace. An undisturbed life. When you sleep, you sleep like a baby. You will be rich God’s way. The Tree of Life Himself under-guarding your life. Plus length of days (long healthy life), riches with honor and the joy of the Lord. All will fill your life when you celebrate wisdom. Yield to the Spirit of wisdom today!
