REASONS FOR UN-FORGIVENESS

11/12/16

Dear Saints,
Shalom. I trust that you had a great week of forgiveness. It is important. Last week we covered several reasons for un-forgiveness. We said that stubbornness, selfishness, and pride are main reasons for in-forgiveness. Think about it, you have been forgiven so much, can’t you forgive the person who has wronged you?
Married believers, can’t you forgive? Remember you are hurting yourself more by not forgiving, and walking in love. The worst of the three enemies of forgiveness is pride.
Let us address this issue because God hates it.

James 4:6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
NIV

Says, But he gives us even more grace to stand against such evil desires. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but favors the humble.”
God resists the proud. We all have nothing to be proud about. There is nothing you and have, that has not been given to us. Even the very life you are enjoying, you have been given. Why should you be proud? The danger of it all is that when you walk in pride, God resists you. You don’t want God resisting you.
Let’s look at additional scriptures and see what God feels about pride.

Luke 1
51He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

Jeremiah 50
31Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord God of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee.
32And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him.

I encourage you to consider your life. Make a decision to forgive, as God has forgiven you.
Till next week, in your SPREADING THE LIGHT BULLETIN, we love you.
