USING VISION BOARDS TO ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS

Did you know there is power in having a vision and keeping it before your eyes? As a young teenager in Austria, Arnold Swatzneger decorated his huge bedroom wall right next to his bed with pictures of strong men, body builders, wrestlers and boxers. He said he was driven to think big, to dream big and he said others thought he was crazy. He said to them that what you want to do is create a vision of who you want to be and live into that picture as if it were already true. Of course he achieved his dream of becoming Mr. Universe several times but he started with a vision of where he wanted to go.
How do you start dreaming big? Get in touch with your dreams. Start at the end of where you want to be and get pictures of it. What would it mean for you to say 2019 was the best year of my life so far? What does that mean to you? Is it to save such and such money, is it to go on vacation, is it to get out of debt, is it to restore your marriage, is to write a book, is it to start a business, is it to buy land, is it to win such and such number of souls to Jesus, is it to lose 20kgs of weight, is it to help your kid graduate from college? Is it to get a promotion in your company? What would need to happen for you to look back at 2019 and say this was the greatest year of your life?
Like God you can start at the end of 2019 and write down what you would like to see happen.

God starts from the end and then creates it from the beginning.
This is not something you do on January 1st and then put it away in a drawer and wait for it to happen by Dec. 31. Remember your life moves towards the dominating images you keep before your eyes. The key words is you keep it before your eyes. You become what you behold.
Minister Jerry Savelle has had little models of different airplanes on his desk for years. They looked like toys. But this was his vision for his airplane. As a result, he has owned every kind of airplane he had a little model of on his desk. That was no different than creating a vision board of what he wanted to have in life.
I heard of a boy who had been waiting for a new kidney for over 10 years. His mom created a vision board with a picture of her son with a new kidney. She kept the dream of her son receiving a new kidney before her eyes and spoke to it. After 10 years of waiting, but only 4 months of keeping it before her eyes, her son received his new kidney.
Dottie Osteen was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given two weeks to live. When she looked at the mirror, she saw a picture of a weak frail deteriorating body. She said she knew she needed to change what she was seeing. So she covered her wall with pictures of her before the cancer when she was healthy and full of energy. She said I have to surround myself with what could be and not what was. She put a picture of herself in her wedding dress, riding a horse and so on. Then she refused to lie down but forced herself to work around her house. She even went out to visit and pray for the sick. Today after more than 30 years, she is a picture of health.
Jer. 1:11-12 11 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” 12 Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.” NKJV
When you put the right picture before you, like Jeremiah of old, you’ll be able to see where you and your family are going, you’ll be filed with hope and using your faith to get there will be easy.
