Greetings. I hope you had a good week as we did. There was an error in last week’s fourth paragraph which said: “We see this in the Adamic covenant.” This was supposed to be Abrahamic and not Adamic covenant. Please take a note of the same.
We are continuing with our subject of the triunity of man. As born again spirit beings, we have special privileges than ordinary, and un-regenerated mankind. We have moved from the natural man to the spirit man whose life emanates from God Himself. Jesus said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10b. This “life” that we have in Jesus is the “Zoe” life which is the life of God. So we have the life of God in us.
How could it be possible to have the life of God in us? The only way this could be possible is if we became like God is, a Spirit.
So God made it possible for us to be born of Him; a Spirit, through His Son Jesus. All we need to do is believe. No works involved. Jesus completed for us, all the works that were required, and thats what we are to believe….that everything He came to do, He did.
We are simply beneficiaries of all that God did through Jesus.
we saw last week how God cut covenant with Himself but for Abraham. Now God has cut covenant with Jesus, but for you and me. When we believe this, we repossess what Adam lost to satan and not only that, we receive the Spirit of God in us, making us “born of the Spirit” which makes us spirit beings.
