Col 2:1-3 For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, 2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge
It is in Christ that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are found. Christ stands for the Anointed One and His Anointing. When you come into Christ through the new birth, all that He has is deposited in you. So we could accurately say that in Christ and His Church are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. All the treasures of wisdom belong to Jesus and His Church.
The Greek word for wisdom in verse 3 is the Greek word “Sophia”. Sophia means: INSIGHT INTO REALITY ALL THE COLLECTIVE UNDERSTANDING OF ALL THINGS.
Thus the above Scripture says that in Him are hid all the treasures of both Sophia and Gnosis (general intellectual or scientific knowledge;) meaning all the information one can ever get. This wisdom was given to you legally when you accepted Jesus as Lord of your life. Sophia was deposited in you at the new birth.
The Bible says in
Deut. 29:29 that “The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.”
The wisdom of God belongs to Christ and the doers of His Word. Anything in this world that a man can know is already inside us. We are the custodians of all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
How then do you begin to project yourself into this kind of wisdom? You have to train yourself to pick information from your own human spirit. But first, your human spirit must be developed.
How? You renew your mind with the Word of God by meditating on it, speaking it and doing it. As you do that, you’re developing your spirit. When you develop your spirit enough, you avail yourself to all the information you need to unravel any situation you confront or that confronts you.
One of the best ways to avail yourself of the wisdom inside you is by Speaking
in other tongues. 1 Cor. 2:6-7 tells us that we speak the wisdom of God in a
mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our
glory. Verse 13 says:
These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Till the next bulleting, keep availing yourself to God’s wisdom.
