YOU’RE HIS VOICE TO YOUR WORLD
Brethren,
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Matt 28:19-20 KJV
Our Lord’s instruction in the above Scripture is for all who have received Christ, not to just sit in church services but to go out. We are to take the message of salvation to our world. We’re to teach those in our world how to live and walk in righteousness. And we’re to teach all nations.
What does He mean by “teach all nations?” It’s important to note that there is a difference between nations and countries; countries have borders, but nations don’t.
“Nations” in the above Scripture is derived from the Greek word “Ethnos” which refers to different groups of people, sharing a common interest. It can refer to ethnic groups but also includes other groups. It’s our job to take the gospel to every man’s world; to the different groups to which we belong. They can be in the world of politicians, doctors, artists, musicians, educators, students, businessmen, neighborhoods, police and other armed forces etc. you are God’s voice to your specific world.
You’re a missionary (one on God’s mission,) an oracle of God, commissioned to help the lost in your world understand and receive salvation; to teach them the Word that you have learned. You’re to show them how to live in the light of Truth because you are the light of the world.
Brethren, we have been entrusted with a stewardship. The apostle Paul said:
1 Cor. 9:16…woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! NKJV
God made you a man, woman, a boy or a girl of influence in your world. Use your influence for Him. Make impact with the gospel. Let more people in your world come to the knowledge of Christ through you. Be bold to preach and teach the Gospel, for you’re His voice to your world. I can teach you how to reach your world but I can’t reach your world for you.
The gospel is the only way people can be saved. It has to be preached. It is our privilege to tell them. Never be ashamed to tell it.
Rom 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. NKJV
