Dear Saints,
This week, I want us to talk about how to make money. Now before you think, this is too canal….”money is not good”. No, money is not bad. Money is just a medium of exchange of good and services. Yeah, someone may say: but money is the root of all evil. No, the Bible doesn’t say that, its says, “the love of money”…..
Over the past several weeks we have been talking about planning. Generally we need to plan for every area our lives. Where do you want to be financially, socially, economically, relationally and otherwise, by the end of 2019? These are issues we need to consider as we make plans for our lives. Make sure that you put your plans on paper. Keep in mind, if you do not plan, someone will plan for you.
The main key in financial planning is a budget. Live within your means is a good place to start. For example, you should not live in house which costs Ksh. 7000 if your income is 10,000. Your rent should always be a quarter of your income.Have a plan for your money….where does your money go? learn to save. I know you may say, “i dont even have enough for food, how can l save?You save a percentage and it does not matter the amount. You must always know, “where what goes”.
Avoid purchasing stuff without planning for them. Do not buy by impulse. Buy because you have planned for it.
