What it did for us.

Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live
Dear Saints,
Happy Easter to you our family and friends. I hope you are celebrating it well. This is, in my opinion the most important time in Christianity. The prophets of old foresaw the coming Messiah and prophesied what He would go through, and for our sake. But what does the resurrection do for us?
Ephesians 2:5-6
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
There are three major events that took place in our lives because of Jesus’ resurrection.
We were quickened together (brought back to life).
We were raised together.
we were made to sit together.
The word together shows that whatever God did for Jesus He did it for us. It did not happen to just one individual or group, but “together”. All parties participated. If Jesus did not arise, the we would not arise. We would remain dead in our sins.
Because we have been raised with Jesus, we have been made to sit together….so we are now seated “together” where He is. His resurrection made these things possible. Jesus said, “ I am the resurrection and the life”….He is saying, l am the quickener, or the dead raiser. And not only that, what l raise, l give it life. He is saying, for all seemingly dead situations, I (Jesus) can give it life. That, and much more is what the resurrection has done for us.
